Mad Professor MP-AOD effect pedaal Amber Overdrive The Amber Overdrive gives you the ultimate combination of overdrive with an edge of fat fuzz.
Lots of output, thick sound and an edge of fuzz in both a clean amp as well as a slightly overdriven amp. The Amber Overdrive is dynamic and expressive and reacts to your playing and guitar. It also allows you to control your sound with the volume knob on your guitar.
When the Amber Overdrive is fully open, you get the feeling of the warm full sound of an overdriven tube amp. In addition, you can also use the pedal as a slightly distorted boost to give just the final push to your amp.
The strong compact housing and slick look complete the pedal along with the true bypass. For fat lead tones, the amber overdrive is a must.
CONTROLS
VOLUME: This knob sets the overall output level of the pedal.
DRIVE: settings from low to the center will allow you to control the saturation with the volume control on the guitar. To use amber as light overdrive set this control at the beginning of the rotation.
TONE: This is a boost/cut “shelving” type equalizer that controls the amount of high-end, operating somewhere between a bright switch and the treble control on most amplifiers.
TONE (tip): Turning this counterclockwise reduces the amount of high end. If you must run a buffered pedal ahead of Amber Overdrive try lowering the treble.
