Description
The TAD 5Y3WGTBBP/1 is a selectorized rectifier tube that accurately recreates the classic behavior of vintage 5Y3GT tubes. Under load, this tube delivers the recognizable voltage sag, resulting in lower output and a softer, more responsive playing feel. This makes it ideal for low-power tube amplifiers with an authentic 1950s feel.
Based on the construction of the original Sylvania Gold and CBS JAN 5Y3 models, this tube uses a black box-plate design and carefully selected materials. Each tube is tested in Germany by TAD for diode matching and correct voltage output. It is directly interchangeable with any standard 5Y3GT and offers an upgrade option for designs based on the 5Z2P.
