The Thomastik Infeld THDP-01PT E-1 4/4 medium is a violin string that excels in projection and clarity. Made of platinum-plated stainless steel, this string offers exceptional corrosion resistance and a direct, sparkling response. With a diameter of 0.268 mm and a tension of approximately 8.2 kg, the THDP-01PT delivers clear and controlled tone transmission with a removable ball end for easy installation.
This string stands out because it offers the greatest projection of all the E strings in this series; it delivers a more brilliant sound and attracts fewer noisy whistles. Its larger diameter offers greater resistance to bow pressure and makes it better suited for a very low string position. Be careful when using fine tuner pegs: always round off sharp edges to prevent damage or edge wear.
