It features a solid carved spruce top and arched quilted maple back and sides, delivering a warm, defined tone with excellent projection. Its iconic scroll-shaped body and rich wood selection make this mandolin not only a visual feast for the eyes but also a remarkably expressive instrument for genres like bluegrass, folk, and classical music.
With a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and an impressive 29 nickel frets, the SMF740VS offers an extended range and comfortable playability. The fingerboard is finished with black binding and mother-of-pearl dot inlays, while the luxurious headstock and white tuning pegs complete the look. The double ABS purfling around the body and headstock adds visual depth. Equipped with a two-way truss rod and a chrome tailpiece, this mandolin is built for stability and durability. It comes with a padded denim carrying bag.
