The Dörfler DV17 is an advanced violin bow from the Pernambuco Nickel-Silver – Basic Bows W. Dörfler collection, aimed at demanding, advanced-level violinists. This octagonal bow is made of select Pernambuca wood, stored and dried under perfect conditions for over 30 years. Its combination of stiffness, resilience, and precision makes this bow particularly suitable for expressive playing and rich tone production.

The DV17 features an ebony frog with a heel plate and a strikingly large single eye. The bow is finished with a metal blanc winding and a three-pronged end cap with mother-of-pearl inlays. Thanks to its balanced construction and high-quality finish, the DV17 offers a harmonious interaction between player and instrument, bringing out the full potential of the violin.
