The Dörfler DV17-FS is a high-quality violin bow from the Pernambuco Nickel-Silver – Basic Bows W. Dörfler collection, specially developed for advanced and demanding musicians. The octagonal bow is made of high-quality Pernambuco wood, which has been stored and dried under perfect conditions for over 30 years. Thanks to its excellent elastomechanical properties, this bow offers a bright tone, quick response, and optimal control.
The DV17-FS features an ebony frog with a heel plate and a strikingly large single eye. A unique feature of this model is the elegant English fishbone winding combined with metal (blanc), which not only visually stands out but also contributes to a balanced playing feel. The three-pronged end cap with inlay gives this bow a classic and refined appearance. An excellent choice for violinists looking for that extra bit of character in their bow.
