The top is made of European spruce, while the back, sides, and neck are constructed of beautifully flamed European maple. The use of naturally dense European tonewood results in a slightly brighter and more direct tone, without sacrificing the rich, warm character of the RC-20 line.

The cello is hand-finished with a light brown, antique-style oil lacquer, creating a classic and elegant appearance. The instrument features an ebony fingerboard and pegs, and comes with a lightweight synthetic tailpiece with fine tuners and a solid carbon fiber endpin.
