For the beginner looking for an acoustic guitar, there are generally two options: the classical guitar and the western guitar. The classical guitar has nylon strings for a round, warm sound and a wider neck than the western guitar. The western guitar, with its steel strings and generally larger body, has a louder sound and is often used in pop, country, and rock music.
The Nashville GSD-60 series is a western guitar and is ideal for beginners or hobbyists who don't want to spend a lot of money on an instrument right away, but are still looking for something extra.
The fingerboard and bridge are made of blackened maple. The nickel silver frets (often only found in higher price ranges) guarantee years of trouble-free playing comfort. The closed oil-bath machine heads ensure flawless, accurate tuning, and the adjustable truss rod ensures the proper alignment of the neck and fretwork.
The GSD-60 is available in four colors: natural, black, pink, and sunburst. The pickguard is black, as are the sides and back.
