Description
NitorLACK N177015108 Ocean Turquoise is a one-component acrylic lacquer with a striking metallic blue-green tint , inspired by the color Ford used for the Mustang in 1962. Mercury also sold this color under #M1731, and in the 1960s it became a popular custom color at Fender , used on models such as the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar and Jazzmaster. The color combines perfectly with tortoiseshell pickguards and fingerboard materials such as rosewood.
Ocean Turquoise has a vibrant metallic sheen , with blue base tones and subtle green nuances that are further enhanced by aging with nitrocellulose lacquers. The lacquer is easy to apply evenly and requires a clear polyurethane or nitrocellulose topcoat for optimal protection and visual depth.
