The NitorLACK N260798104 Golden Age Clear is a high-quality, plasticizer-free nitrocellulose lacquer that accurately replicates the original Fender and Gibson finishes from the 1960s. This clearcoat has a stiffer composition, resulting in a more natural vintage look and less elasticity than modern nitrocellulose lacquers. This makes it an excellent choice for those seeking an authentic, historically accurate finish on electric guitars.
Thanks to its rapid evaporation and excellent intercoat adhesion, this lacquer offers a strikingly glossy finish with a thinner buildup. This not only enhances the appearance but also the wood's resonance. Over time, the lacquer will naturally develop fine hairline cracks, contributing to the aged character without the pronounced effect of a relic finish. Ideal as a clear topcoat for classical guitar projects.
