Discover the TAD KT66/2 select tubes, a pair that embodies the essence of authentic British sound. These tubes pay homage to iconic brands like MOV, GEC, Genalex, and Gold Lion. They feature a large, curved glass envelope and a rounded brown base, adding to their unique look.
The TAD KT66 is the reason behind the legendary tone of Marshall JTM45 Plexi amplifiers from the '60s and the fame of Quad Hi-Fi amplifiers. Even SRV relied on these tubes for its impressive guitar sound in its Fender amplifiers.
At approximately 115mm tall (without pins), these tubes are ideal for:
- A full and thick sound with more headroom
- A smooth yet detailed high note
- Single channel amplifiers
- Dynamic game
- Vintage British Rock and Roll
- Modern vintage amplifiers such as the 2266 and 2466
