Thomastik Infeld THPI-03 violin string D-3 4/4, synthetic core, aluminum wound

The Thomastik Infeld THPI-03 D-3 violin string for 4/4 violins combines a synthetic core with aluminum winding, delivering a playing experience that responds instantly to every bow movement. PI strings are known for a rich spectrum of tonal colors and a perfect balance of strength and elegance with a wide dynamic range. The THPI-03 D-3 offers immediate bow response and excellent tuning stability, while the soft touch of the left hand contributes to a comfortable playing feel during both sweeping chamber music passages and layered symphonic crescendos. Ideal for violinists who strive for articulation with clarity and control, regardless of repertoire or tempo, this D-string can make the difference between a sticky transition and a sharp, responsive tone line, allowing you to respond more easily to the conductor and pianist. The PI line allows players to choose from various E strings (tin, gold, and platinum plated) and D strings (aluminum or silver wound) to tailor the strings to their instrument and playing style. The THPI-03 D-3 is perfectly suited for professional use—from orchestral to solo recitation—and offers consistent tone color over extended playing periods.
