Thomastik Infeld VI-01 violin string E-1 4/4 medium, carbon steel, tin plated, removable ball end

The Thomastik Infeld VI-01 E-1 violin string for 4/4 size violins delivers a bright, focused tone with a direct response. Made of tin-plated carbon steel, this string offers stable intonation and consistent tone, even during fast passages. The medium tension provides a comfortable tension across the neck, keeping bowing and pizzicato techniques flowing smoothly, while the tin plating extends life by improving corrosion resistance. The removable ball end offers additional installation options: use on tailpieces that accept ball ends or quickly remove the end if your instrument requires it.

This E-1 string is ideal for violinists seeking a reliable, responsive top end with clear articulation and projection. Whether playing classical repertoire, chamber music, or studio recordings, this string delivers a bright top end with balanced midrange and bass response, maintaining stable intonation across dynamics. Changing the ball end is quick and easy, allowing you to match your setup to your tailpiece without compromising playing comfort or tone.
