Thomastik Infeld VI-01-ST violin string E-1 4/4 heavy, carbon steel, tin plated, removable ball end

The Thomastik Infeld VI-01-ST is a heavy E string for 4/4 violins, crafted from carbon steel and tin-plated for a durable, bright sounding top. The heavier gauge delivers a responsive, projection-like E with plenty of artistry, which is especially beneficial for quick articulations and solo passages where the timbre needs to be heard in the mix. The removable ball-end design offers installation flexibility and compatibility with tailpieces that may or may not accept a ball-end.

This string is designed for players who strive for consistent timbre with clear conduction across dynamics and phrasing. It's ideal for 4/4 violins in both studio and live settings, where a strong, muscular E makes all the difference in passagework, orchestral accompaniment, and recitals. With the VI-01-ST, you get a reliable, responsive string that reacts more quickly to articulations and accentuation without sacrificing intonation agility.
