The dual alnico 5 bar magnets and short, wide bobbins create a unique tone with a powerful midrange and higher output compared to other single-coil pickups. In the neck position, this pickup delivers a sweet, smooth sound ideal for full, fat-sounding chords. In the bridge position, the sparkling midrange comes alive, resulting in a grunty, open tone. Chords blossom harmoniously, while single notes sound crystal clear and prominent.
This Vintage P90 is a drop-in replacement for any traditional Gibson large-format P90 soap bar. Wound with plain enamel wire and crafted on the nostalgic Leesona winder from the 1950s, this pickup offers an authentic tonal experience. It includes a vintage braided single-conductor connection cable and wax potting for squeal-free performance.
